Jenzer Motorsport has ratified its FIA Formula 3 driver line-up after signing Romanian youngster Filip Ugran.
Ugran finished eighth in last year’s Italian Formula 4 championship before sampling Formula 3 machinery post-season with Jenzer.
He will now link up with Calan Williams and Pierre-Louis Chovet at the Switzerland-based team.
“I am extremely pleased to announce that I will be competing for Jenzer Motorsport in the FIA F3 season,” said 18-year-old Ugran.
“I have been competing for this amazing team in the 2020 season and I am very glad about the achieved results. I cannot wait to be back on a circuit soon.”
Formula 3’s season is due to begin at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in May and accompany Formula 1 at seven grands prix, concluding in Austin in October.
Pre-season testing has yet to get underway owing to the ongoing travel restrictions between the United Kingdom and Spain.
Confirmation of Jenzer’s trio means only five seats remain on the 2021 grid.
MP Motorsport and Carlin still have a respective vacancy while last season’s bottom team Charouz Racing System has yet to sign any driver.
