Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus has begun the first shakedown test of its recently completed 007 Le Mans Hypercar at the Autodromo Vallelunga in Italy.
The American outfit, which will be entering a pair of cars into the FIA World Endurance Championship, completed assembly of the first car at its European base in Italy on Wednesday, before shipping the car off to the track for its first test.
The team has confirmed that veteran and two-time Le Mans winner Romain Dumas will be carrying out the first test of the twin-turbo V8 Hypercar, with regular driver Franck Mailleux also set to carry out driving duties.
It will compete against a pair of Toyota’s GR010 Hybrids, as well as a grandfathered ORECA LMP1 machine entered by Alpine for the first season of Hypercar competition in the WEC.
The car featured notable Motul branding, as the American manufacturer recently announced a major partnership with the lubricants firm.
