CarBahn with Peregrine Racing will make its debut in the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship when it steps up for a Sprint Cup campaign later this year.

The team enters a single Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo, with driver duties carried out by Jeff Westphal and Richard Heistand.

The Sprint Cup kicks off at the third round of the WeatherTech Sportscar Championship at Mid-Ohio, taking place in May.

Alongside its new GT3 operation, the team will also continue its efforts in the Michelin Pilot Challenge, in which it has taken multiple race wins with a Audi R8 LMS GT4.

The announcement marks the first commitment from a team for the 2021 Sprint Cup campaign, which was won by Vasser Sullivan Racing in 2020.

The team also shared a render of its livery, a black-and-green colour scheme that shares a close resemblance to that used in the Pilot Challenge.
