McLaren has announced that it will continue its partnership with beverage giant Coca-Cola throughout the 2021 Formula 1 season.
The association between the two parties began towards the end of the 2018 season, which marked the first time that the Coca-Cola brand appeared on an F1 car.
The partnership was renewed in 2019 and 2020, with the ‘Coke Driven to Deliver’ campaign established last year in collaboration with Coke customer Amazon.
Ahead of the 2021 championship, a continuation of the collaboration was agreed between McLaren and Coca-Cola, which will see the drink company’s logo present on the cockpit side of McLaren’s car and the drink bottles of its drivers.
“Coca-Cola is an iconic brand and one of the biggest consumer brands in the world,” said McLaren’s Chief Commercial Officer Mark Waller.
“We introduced Coca-Cola to Formula 1 three seasons ago since then, our collaboration has created innovative campaigns and activations with fans around the world at their centre.
“We are delighted to extend our partnership in 2021 and continue to support Coca-Cola and its commercial partners in reaching consumers through McLaren and Formula 1.”
McLaren will launch its 2021 car, called the MCL35M on February 15 at its Technology Centre in Woking.
The team has signed Daniel Ricciardo for the new campaign alongside Lando Norris, as its former driver Carlos Sainz reached a deal to replace Sebastian Vettel at Ferrari.
