The #8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid leads the 24 Hours of Le Mans ahead of the two Rebellions with a standard WEC race distance still to cover.
Sebastien Buemi is currently leading the way in the #8 Toyota, running four laps ahead of the #1 Rebellion R13-Gibson in the hands of Bruno Senna. Third place is held by the #3 Rebellion driven by Nat Berthon. The #7 Toyota is in fourth, six laps off the lead after a turbo issue just after the halfway point.
After an oil leak for the sister car, the #22 United Autosports ORECA 07-Gibson leads in the hands of Paul di Resta ahead of the #38 JOTA ORECA 07-Gibson, which is currently being driven by Roberto Gonzalez.
G-Drive Racing has recovered from earlier mechanical gremlins and is still very much in podium contention, with the #26 Aurus 01-Gibson now in the hands of Mikkel Jensen, although it is circulating a lap down on Di Resta and Gonzalez.
Racing Team Nederland has experienced further dramas after a clash with the Weathertech Racing GTE Pro Ferrari as Frits van Eerd spun the #29 ORECA 07-Gibson into the gravel at the Dunlop chicane. The car had to be recovered, causing a slow zone, but is still running.
With the sun rising over the Circuit de la Sarthe, the GTE Pro battle has swung in the favor of Aston Martin Racing. The #97 Aston Martin Vantage AMR leads in the hands of Alex Lynn, with a gap of some thirty seconds of the #51 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo in the hands of James Calado. The pair battled earlier in the night, but Lynn now leads and has extended his lead after a brake change for the Ferrari.
The #95 Aston Martin Vantage AMR completes the podium positions with Richard Westbrook driving, three laps ahead of the #71 Ferrari of Davide Rigon.
TF Sport has remained in the lead of GTE Am after the #98 Aston Martin Vantage AMR from the factory team fell away with suspension issues. Salih Yoluc currently drives the #90 Aston Martin Vantage AMR in the lead, with Christian Ried running in second in the #77 Dempsey-Proton Porsche 911 RSR ahead of the #83 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE Evo third with Emmanuel Collard behind the wheel.
