20 hours remaining in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Ferrari has reclaimed supremacy in the fight for GTE Pro.
Sam Bird has retaken the lead in the #71 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo from Harry Tincknell’s #97 Aston Martin Vantage AMR, with Tincknell now under pressure from the second Ferrari in the hands of Daniel Serra.
Richard Westbrook has been installed in the #95 Aston Martin Vantage AMR and holds fourth ahead of the #92 Porsche 911 RSR-19 driven by Laurens Vanthoor.
Toyota still leads overall, with Brendon Hartley leading on the hourmark in the #8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid but due a pitstop over the #7 Toyota TS050 Hybrid of Kamui Kobayashi, with Rebellion Racing still in third place.
LMP2 has seen a number of changes. Job van Uitert initially led in the #22 United Autosports ORECA 07-Gibson ahead of the #38 JOTA ORECA of Roberto Gonzalez and Graff’s Vincent Capillaire.
Capillaire then fell away with a spin at the Porsche Curves which dropped the #39 ORECA down the order. A subsequent slow zone briefly promoted the non-stopping #26 G-Drive Aurus of Roman Rusinov into the lead, but when the pitstops cycled through, it put the #32 United Autosports ORECA of Will Owen into the lead ahead of Gonzalez and Duqueine’s Konstantin Tereshenko.
GTE Am has seen something of a shakeup with Emmanuel Collard leading in the #83 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo, with Tom Blomqvist second in the #72 HubAuto Corsa Ferrari and Egidio Perfetti third for Team Project 1.
