Current Moto2 rider Enea Bastianini has announced that he will be moving up to MotoGP next season with Ducati.
In a press conference, Bastianini said that he doesn’t know which Ducati team he will join but that the premier class outfit is “a good family for me.”
With Johann Zarco looking like a potential replacement for Andrea Dovizioso at the factory Ducati team, a seat on the Avintia bike has been freed up for new talent and it looks as though Bastianini could be the man to fill it.
At a time in the season when talks between riders and taking place, Bastianini’s jump to MotoGP will definitely bring some fresh new talent to the top motorcycle class.
However, the announcement as to which Ducati team he will ride with is expected to come “in the next week or so”, Bastianini said.
