The TireRack.com Grand Prix at Road Atlanta is under full course caution after less than a single racing lap following a clash at the start involving Acura Team Penske’s Dane Cameron.

Cameron was squeezed onto the kerb by Felipe Nasr on the final corner prior to the start, sending the #6 Acura ARX-05 into a spin.

Dwight Merriman’s #18 Era Motorsport ORECA 07-Gibson subsequently clashed with the #85 JDC-Miller Motorsports Cadillac DPi-VR of Matheus Leist in avoidance, causing suspension damage to both cars and bringing out the safety car.

Cameron’s team-mate Helio Castroneves still leads in the #7 Acura, ahead of Felipe Nasr’s #31 Whelen Engineering Cadillac and Harry Tincknell’s #55 Mazda RT24-p up to third place, although Nasr has been handed a drivethrough penalty for causing the incident.
