Ferrari junior Robert Shwartzman pocketed his third victory of the 2020 Formula 2 season by controlling the Sprint Race at Spa-Francorchamps.
The Russian started fourth on the grid and moved in front of Guanyu Zhou on the opening lap to take third.
A collision between reverse-grid pole sitter Roy Nissany and Dan Ticktum on the exit of Les Combes allowed the Prema driver to jump into the lead.
Shwartzman remained in front and won by a margin of nine seconds over Prema team-mate Mick Schumacher, who picked up his sixth podium of 2020 with second position.
Guanyu Zhou also notched up his fourth top-three finish of the campaign ahead of the two Hitech drivers of Nikita Mazepin and Luca Ghiotto.
Louis Deletraz and Christian Lundgaard crossed the line in sixth and seventh, ahead of Artem Markelov in eighth, achieving his first point of the season for the BWT HWA Racelab team.
Despite his collision, Ticktum finished tenth behind Yuki Tsunoda, who picked up a five-second time penalty for taking out Callum Ilott on the opening lap of the race.
Shwartzman picked up the two bonus points for setting the fastest lap out of those in the top 10 and will head to Prema’s home round 10 points clear of Ilott in the standings.
FIA Formula 2 will next be in action at Monza next weekend, part of the Italian Grand Prix weekend.
