Logan Sargeant took victory for the second time in the FIA Formula 3 Championship at Spa-Francorchamps, which puts him back into the lead in the Drivers’ Standings.
The American started third before getting ahead of the slow-starting Liam Lawson for second.
The PREMA driver’s charge continued on Lap 3 when he got by Richard Verschoor on the Kemmel straight to take the lead.
His team-mate Frederik Vesti also had a superb drive to second from fifth on the grid to close the gap to under a second by the chequered flag.
Red Bull junior driver Liam Lawson was on the podium again for Hitech ahead of the two ART drivers of Alex Smolyar and Theo Pourchaire.
Oscar Piastri was classified sixth, as he picked up a five-second time penalty for going off the track and gaining an advantage when he was passing Verschoor on the Kemmel straight.
Verschoor was seventh as a result, with Lirim Zendeli, David Beckmann and Sebastian Fernandez completing the top ten.
The fastest lap points were awarded to Logan Sargeant, helping him increase his championship lead over Piastri to seven points with two rounds to go.
The next venue to host FIA Formula 3 will be at Monza, part of the Italian Grand Prix support bill next weekend.
