Michael Christensen and Kevin Estre are back on GTE Pro pole position for the Total Six Hours of Spa-Francorchamps after the decision to delete Estre’s lap time was reversed by the stewards.
Estre put the #92 Porsche 911 RSR-19 on pole position with a single flying lap, which was deleted after Friday’s qualifying session for alleged track infringements.
This put the #97 Aston Martin Vantage AMR of Maxime Martin and Alex Lynn on pole position, with the sister #95 Aston Martin second by just 0.008s.
Estre’s lap was reinstated by a stewards decision, promoting the #92 Porsche back to pole position, effectively reinstating the qualifying order when the chequered flag dropped on Friday evening.
Gianmaria Bruni n the #91 Porsche 911 RSR-19, as well as the #90 TF Sport Aston Martin Vantage AMR and #56 Team Project 1 Porsche 911 RSR have also had laps deleted, although this has not led to changes in the grid order.
