Nyck de Vries topped the timesheets in the second practice session of the Berlin E-Prix, heading championship leader Antonio Felix da Costa.
The Mercedes EQ driver turned 20 laps en route to the fastest time of the 30-minute session, completing a 1:06.846s run to lead the way.
Da Costa, who enters the six-race season finale on a podium streak of three races, was only 0.076s shy of the Dutchman’s best time for DS Techeetah while BMW’s Maximilian Guenther completed the top three, a further 0.083s down.
Mahindra Racing’s Jerome d’Ambrosio improved late on in the session to clock the fourth quickest time while Sebastien Buemi was the lead Nissan, completing the top five as FP1 topper and team-mate Oliver Rowland was 12th.
Second-placed championship man Mitch Evans was sixth. His Jaguar Racing team-mate James Calado again experienced a difficult session, with a battery change on the 31-year-old’s car leading to no track time, meaning the Briton heads into qualifying without a single lap under his belt.
Behind Evans, Sam Bird was seventh while Lucas di Grassi fronted an 8-9 result for Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler as rookie team-mate Rene Rast impressed as the German gears up for what will be his first E-Prix start since Season 2.
Nico Muller completed the top 10 for GEOX Dragon while reigning champion Jean-Eric Vergne was 11th.
