Caca Bueno stormed to a dominant victory in the fourth race of the 2019-20 Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY season, beating debutant Nick Foster in Berlin.
The Brazilian racer claimed pole position for the first of seven races at Tempelhof from team-mate Sergio Jimenez and with a strong start, maintained his lead into Turn 1.
Jimenez – who took the inaugural championship title last season – came under immediate pressure from Foster who started from third and after a tense side-by-side four corner scrap, ultimately yielded to take Attack Mode in Turn 5.
This saw Jimenez drop through the field to eighth but quickly, the Brazilian was on the charge, advancing to fourth within only a handful of laps before overtaking title rival Simon Evans to move onto the podium.
The Jimenez-Evans battle was a key focus of the race and while the Kiwi cleared the championship leader through the use of Attack Mode, the Brazilian again fought back, deploying the power boost device strategically at the close of the race.
With Evans having one use of Attack Mode remaining, he activated the overtaking aid to clear Jimenez on the penultimate lap, taking third place at the flag behind winner Bueno who remained unchallenged and a damaged Foster.
Jimenez ultimately finished fourth ahead of VIP driver Oliver Webb while Alice Powell and Greg Seggers followed in sixth and seventh.
Fahad Algosaibi emerged as the victor in Pro-Am by taking eighth overall while Takuma Aoki was ninth. Adalberto Baptista and Paul Spooner completed the field.
