Caca Bueno secured pole position for the opening race of the finale of the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY, beating team-mate Sergio Jimenez to the top spot in qualifying.
The Brazilian racer posted a 1:25.506s run around the reverse layout of the Tempelhof Airport Circuit to edge the reigning champion of the series by 0.144s, fronting an all-Jaguar Brazil front row.
Australia’s Nick Foster – who makes his debut in the series – secured third on the grid, a further 0.037s back while championship contender Simon Evans was fourth.
VIP driver Oli Webb completed the top five in his guest entry while Fahad Algosaibi was the lead Pro-Am driver in sixth position.
Alice Powell followed the Saudi racer in seventh ahead of Greg Seggers and Adalberto Baptista who were eighth and ninth.
Takuma Aoki completed the top 10 while Paul Spooner completed the field in the second Saudi Racing entry, 2.178s adrift of polesitter Bueno.
