British racer Oliver James Webb will rejoin ByKolles for the Total 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The former European Le Mans Series champion has been with the team since 2016 and will make his fifth straight Le Mans start with the Austrian outfit. The previous four starts each resulted in retirement.
Webb’s best result in the French endurance classic came in 2014, when he finished third in class witn Signatech Alpine in the same year he captured the ELMS title with the French squad.
The 29-year-old will be reunited with Tom Dillmann, with whom Webb contested the 2018/19 Super Season. Joining the pair on board the #4 ENSO CLM P1/01-Gibson is 2012 DTM champion and BMW works driver Bruno Spengler, who was confirmed earlier this month.
“It’s great to be back in an LMP1 car with ByKOLLES for the remainder of the 2020 FIA WEC season post lockdown!
“Spa and Le Mans are my two best tracks on the schedule, so it’s going to be great to get back on them alongside great team mates Tom Dillmann and Bruno Spengler, who I know are very fast and the perfect mix,” said Webb.
“Oliver is an excellent driver with a lot of experience in LMP1” said ByKolles Head of Operations Boris Bermes.
“With Tom and Bruno we have a strong line up for the upcoming race events in Spa and Le Mans.”
