Nick Cassidy concluded Formula E’s annual rookie test at the Circuit International Automobile Moulay El Hassan with the fastest time for Envision Virgin Racing.
The reigning Super Formula champion set a new lap record around the 2.971km-long venue – a 1m 16.467s run that was posted in the afternoon session.
Recently announced GEOX Dragon test and reserve driver Sergio Sette Camara emerged as the Kiwi’s closest rival, almost half a second down for the American outfit while Filipe Albuquerque was third in Jean-Eric Vergne’s DS Techeetah.
Sharing the cockpit with the aforementioned Portuguese racer, last-minute DS Techeetah call-up Nicholas Lapierre was fourth while Kyle Kirkwood completed the top five for BMW i Andretti Motorsport.
ROKiT Venturi Racing’s Norman Nato trailed Kirkwood by only 0.030s to take sixth while Jake Hughes was seventh for Mercedes EQ.
Lucas Auer trailed the Briton in the second BMW to take eighth while morning pacesetter Kelvin Van Der Line was ninth for Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler. Jaguar’s Sacha Fenestraz completed the top 10.
In the overall timings, it was Venturi that completed the most laps, with 184 tours of the Moulay El Hassan circuit with the aid of Arthur Leclerc equating to just under 550 kilometres of running.
Nissan e.dams meanwhile completed the least running with 147 laps courtesy of Jann Mardenborough and Mitsunori Takaboshi.
