Adalberto Baptista will join the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY this weekend in Mexico City as part of an expanded lineup at Jaguar Brazil Racing.
The Brazilian racer previously contested the Renault Sport Trophy alongside former I-PACE eTROPHY VIP driver Archie Hamilton in 2015, taking 12th in the Prestige Class as part of the World Series by Renault.
Switching to Porsches, Baptista enjoyed further success in 2018, taking second in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Brazil (4.0), most recently contesting the Porsche Império GT3 Cup Brazil (4.0) last season.
By joining Jaguar Brazil Racing, Dominguez partners reigning I-PACE eTROPHY champion Sergio Jimenez and team-mate Caca Bueno, who returns to the series after missing the opening two rounds of the season.
“I am honoured to join the ZEG iCarros Jaguar Brazil team alongside Sérgio and Cacá,” said Baptista.
“They have shown how competitive and exciting the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY series is, and I can’t wait to line up on the grid in Mexico City this week.”
In Diriyah, it was Simon Evans who secured victory in Race 1 while Jimenez stood on the top step of the podium in Race 2 – the pair tied on points in the approach to the race at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.
