Filipe Albuquerque set the quickest time in night practice for the Rolex 24 at Daytona in a session that was dominated by Cadillac runners.
The Portuguese driver set a time of 01:34:914 in the #31 Whelen Engineering Cadillac DPi-VR, outpacing the second-placed Cadillac, the #10 Wayne Taylor Racing machine of Renger van der Zande. The top three was completed by Joao Barbosa in the #5 Mustang Sampling Cadillac.
Reigning DPi champion Dane Cameron was fourth in the #6 Team Penske Acura, while the #7, which was crashed in qualifying by Ricky Taylor, only completed two installation laps after returning to the track towards the end of the session.
Mazda Team Joest did not complete any running during the 90-minute session.
Gabriel Aubry set the pace in LMP2, setting a 01:37:084 in the #52 PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports ORECA, 0.354s clear of the Dragonspeed car of Colin Braun.
GTLM was led by Mathieu Jaminet in the #912 Porsche 911 RSR-19 with a best effort of 01:43:301, three-tenths clear of Augusto Farfus in the #24 BMW M8 GTE and just under four-tenths ahead of the #911 Porsche 911 RSR-19 of Nick Tandy.
Finally, Klaus Bachler led the way for Wright Motorsports in the #16 Porsche 911 GT3 R, posting a 01:46:128 to outpace felllow Porsche runner and class polesitters Pfaff Motorsports by 0.075s.
