Ricky Taylor topped second practice for the Rolex 24 at Daytona as Acura once again led the way with Mazda not far behind.

Taylor completed just two flying laps but posted a best time of 1:34.904s, putting his #7 Acura ARX-05 at the head of the field, two-tenths clear of Oliver Jarvis’s best time in the #77 Mazda RT24-P.

Harry Tincknell was third in the second Mazda, half a second adrift of Taylor and three-tenths behind his team-mate.

The Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac driven by Ryan Briscoe was fourth, ahead of Action Express Racing’s Filipe Albuquerque who completed the top five runners with the pair split by just 0.055s.

The JDC Miller MotorSports cars of Matheus Leist and Loic Duval were sixth and seventh.

The session was largely dry until the closing minutes when light rain fell. The session saw a red flag early on for debris.

Porsche once again topped the GTLM field with the #912 Porsche 911 RSR driven by Laurens Vanthoor posting a best time of 1:42.799 to pip the #911 of Nick Tandy.

They were followed by the two Chevrolet Corvette C8.Rs, with the #3 car of Antonio Garcia leading Tommy Milner in the #4.

The session started off mostly dry before it began to spit with rain in the closing stages, with the only red flag coming in the early running for debris.
