AIM Vasser Sullivan has confirmed that Aaron Telitz will rejoin the team for next week’s Rolex 24 at Daytona.
Telitz, 28, competed in all four Michelin Endurance Cup races for the team last year. He will be joining Townsend Bell, Frankie Montecalvo and Shane van Gisbergen in the team’s #12 Lexus RC F GT3 and is expected to once again complete the team’s endurance line-up this season.
“Coming from open wheel racing to sports cars last year I didn’t know what to expect,” said Telitz. “However, I had a great time working with all my teammates and to finish second in our first Rolex 24 was awesome.
“I’m honored that Jimmy Vasser, Sulli and Andrew Bordin made it possible for me to come back for a second time. I think we have a great driver line up with Townsend, Frankie and Shane and I am looking forward to, hopefully, having another good race in this year’s Rolex 24.”
Vasser added: “[Aaron] was one of the guys that helped us finish second in our Rolex 24 debut and hopefully we can take to the next level this year.”
AIM Vasser Sullivan once again fields two Lexus RC F GT3s this season, with the #14 car driven by Jack Hawksworth and Parker Chase, who are joined in Daytona by 2017 GTD winner Michael de Quesada and two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch.
