DragonSpeed has confirmed that Ben Hanley will again be behind the wheel for the start of the 2020 IndyCar season.
Hanley drove the No. 81 for DragonSpeed last season and is the race team’s lead driver, having been associated with the team since 2016, spearheading its Le Mans and other sportscar entries.
The Briton has so far only been confirmed for pre-season testing and the season opener in St. Petersburg, which is scheduled for March 15.
“I can’t wait to get back in the No. 81 machine for another crack at St. Pete,” said Hanley.
“I don’t know if we can repeat the combination of luck and timing that put us 12th on the grid in 2019, but we will be much better prepared this time around and should be stronger throughout the weekend.”
Last year DragonSpeed participated in three IndyCar races but is looking to expand its presence in the series this season.
The team announced plans in December to compete in six races this year, including the Indy 500.
