Audi has confirmed its driver line-up for this month’s DTM young driver test in Jerez, with Indycar refugee Ed Jones and Nürburgring 24 winner Kelvin van der Linde amongst the seven men selected to drive the Audi RS5 DTM.
The announcement follows the news that Robert Kubica and Nick Yelloly would be taking part in the test for BMW.
Jones competed for Ed Carpenter Racing during the 2019 Indycar season. Audi factory driver and 2019 ADAC GT champion Kelvin van der Linde will also be doing laps aboard the RS5 DTM.
Kelvin’s brother Sheldon is already a DTM driver, having completed his first full season with BMW in 2019.
Fellow South African 2019 debutant Jonathan Aberdein has also been selected after a strong rookie season with Team WRT, while fellow Audi drivers Nico Müller and Rene Rast are also set to join the test.
Finally, 2019 Audi Sport Seyffarth R8 LMS Cup winner Robin Rogalski and FIA Formula 3 Championship driver Fabio Scherer completed the line-up.
The DTM young driver test at Jerez take place on December 11-13.
