Racing video game creator Codemasters has announced it has now acquired race simulation specialists Slightly Mad Studios.
Codemasters, known for their titles with Formula 1, DIRT and GRID franchises will now welcome the Project CARS series to its portfolio along with a new blockbuster title which has yet to be announced.
Also included in Slightly Mad Studios' portfolio over the past 10 years – alongside the highly-acclaimed two Project CARS titles – is the two Need For Speed: Shift titles it helped develop on behalf of licence holders Electronic Arts.
Frank Sagnier will remain CEO of Codemasters Group PLC while Ian Bell will also continue in his position as CEO at Slightly Mad Studios.
