Daniel Ricciardo's first race with Renault might have ended in disaster after he lost his front-wing before he'd even reached Turn 1 and then later retired from the race – his home grand prix – but he can at least take some pleasure in knowing his helmet is a winner!
Motorsport Week held a vote on all 20 drivers helmets, asking you to vote for the best design, and after thousands of votes, Ricciardo's unique design came out on top with 25% of the vote.
The Australian driver went all out on his new helmet, working with designer Nicolai Sclater to come up with something unique now he is no longer bound by Red Bull's strict branding guidelines.
The design continues to run with Ricciardo's 'Honey Badger' nickname on the rear and his race number (#3). On the opposite side it features the slogan 'Stop Being Them'.
Kevin Magnussen's more traditional design came second with 18% of the vote, and Ricciardo's Renault team-mate Nico Hulkenberg taking third with 13%.
The only driver failing to get on the scoreboard with 0% of the vote was Red Bull's Pierre Gasly.
