DS Techeetah has announced a new multi-year strategic alliance with global leading cyber protection and hybrid cloud storage company, Acronis.
The deal, which is a three-year partnership, will see the Acronis logo feature on the DS E-Tense FE19 from the Hong Kong E-Prix while the company will provide backup, storage, and disaster recovery solutions for the team to ensure maximum protection from modern cyber threats.
“Acronis is a world leader in the field of cyber protection and disaster recovery software, and we are very pleased to welcome them to the DS Techeetah family," said Keith Smout, Chief Commercial Officer of the squad who powered Jean-Eric Vergne to the Drivers' Championship in Season Four.
"This partnership will open up new mechanisms for data analysis and predictive capability in the high-pressure environment of Formula E.
"We look forward to building a winning relationship together – both on track and in the world of global technology."
Heading to Hong Kong this weekend for the fifth round of the 2018/19 season, DS Techeetah currently occupies fourth in the Teams' Championship with 57 points, 25 points adrift of Mahindra Racing who currently lead.
“Acronis technology fits the high-paced environment of motorsport teams. We are pleased to join DS Techeetah’s partner ecosystem, covering all aspects of cyber protection with the world’s most innovative technology.
"We are proud to be associated with such a winning team and look forward to a long, successful partnership,” added Dan Havens, Acronis Growth Officer.
Formula E's fifth season of competition will continue on March 10 with the Hong Kong E-Prix while the all-electric single seater series will be joined by the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY as the championship's inaugural season continues.
