Force India's Esteban Ocon has been excluded from the United States Grand Prix for a breach of the fuel flow limit.
Ocon had classified in eighth position, having dropped behind both Renault drivers on the opening lap, but was immediately placed under investigation post-race.
It was deemed that on the opening lap Ocon's VJM11 had exceeded the maximum fuel flow rate of 100kg/hour.
As a consequence he has been stripped of the result, though Force India has the right to launch an appeal, if it wishes to do so.
Ocon's exclusion promotes Kevin Magnussen into eighth – but he is also under investigation and poised to be thrown out of the results for using more than the maximum 105kg fuel limit during the Grand Prix.
