Reigning Formula E champion Jean-Eric Vergne fronted a DS Techeetah 1-2 in the final afternoon session of the second day of Formula E pre-season testing.
Following a 45-minute long simulation race earlier in the afternoon in which he finished in seventh place, Vergne topped the timesheets with a 1m 17.342s lap around the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, beating team-mate Andre Lotterer to the top spot on the timesheets by only 0.095s.
Sebastien Buemi completed the top three for Nissan e.dams after topping the first part of the afternoon session earlier in the day. He was followed by BMW i Andretti Motorsport's Antonio Felix da Costa who fronted a 4-5 for the squad with team-mate Alexander Sims following, 0.356s adrift of Vergne.
Daniel Abt was the highest placed Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler driver in sixth, with Lucas di Grassi setting the seventh fastest time of the session after finishing in first in Formula E's simulation race earlier in the day.
Venturi Formula E's Felipe Massa set a 1m 18.050 to cement eighth on the timesheets for the Monegasque squad while he was followed by Envision Virgin Racing's Sam Bird in ninth. Panasonic Jaguar Racing's Mitch Evans completed the top 10.
Dragon Racing's Jose Maria Lopez fronted the second half of the field from 11th downwards, 0.860s off the pace while Tom Dillmann, Robin Frijns, Nelson Piquet Jr, Oliver Turvey, Maximilian Gunther and Jerome d'Ambrosio followed. Pascal Wehrlein completed the session in 18th.
Edoardo Mortara and the HWA Racelab pair of Stoffel Vandoorne and Gary Paffett did not complete a lap in the second session of the afternoon while the #22 Nissan e.dams car of Alexander Albon remained vacant for a second consecutive day.
