Formula 2 and Toro Rosso test driver Sean Gelael will get to take part in first practice at the United States Grand Prix after being handed the opportunity by the Italian outfit.
Geleal has been a part of the Toro Rosso team since joining in 2017, completing four FP1 outings as well as testing runs in Barcelona and Budapest in 2018.
With the new Honda power unit proving to be performing well inside the STR 13 after a good showing in Japan, Gelael is keen to get back behind the wheel and test it out for himself.
"I am super happy and excited to get things rolling again," said the 21-year old. "I did FP1 in Austin last year so it’s a track that I know, even though it was a bit damp last year!
"The last time I was in the car was for the Budapest test, so I’m looking forward to working with the team again, hopefully, they’re excited as well.
"The form Toro Rosso is in after Japan is quite strong so hopefully we can keep this momentum going."
The Indonesian driver has been driving for Prema Racing in Formula 2 and he lies currently 15th in the championship on 29 points.
His best result of the season came in the Monaco feature race where he finished second behind Russian Time's Artem Markelov.
