Ahead of the start of the next generation of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship, the entry list for the series' official pre-season test at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia has been announced.
For the test which consists of three days of running on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, a total of 22 cars will head to the Spanish venue due to the expansion of the grid for Season Five with the arrival of HWA Racelab – a customer team of Venturi Formula E.
While 19 drivers have been confirmed to be competing in the coming 2018/19 campaign, three seats still remain up for grabs, with Mahindra Racing yet to confirm its driver lineup although this is strongly tipped to be made of Jerome d'Ambrosio and Pascal Wehrlein while the team-mate of Jose Maria Lopez at Dragon is still to be announced.
At Dragon in the #6 EV-3 machine, testing duties will be shared by Maximilian Gunther who is the American outfit's test and reserve driver and current Ferrari junior Antonio Fuoco, with the pair alternating their time in the car in morning and afternoon sessions on both Tuesday and Friday.
The recently announced Stoffel Vandoorne will test for HWA on Tuesday and Wednesday before flying to the Circuit of the Americas for this weekend's US Grand Prix. Daniel Juncadella will take over the Belgian's testing duties on the final day of the test.
Formula E's fifth season of competition will commence on December 15 with the inaugural Ad Diriyah E-Prix in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
