Formula 2 racers Jack Aitken and Artem Markelov will carry out tyre testing with Renault at Suzuka this week.
The two-day test, which takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday, is the latest to be carried out in association with sole supplier Pirelli.
The company is permitted 25 days of private running in current-spec cars across the course of the campaign in order to undertake further development work for future tyre specifications.
Aitken holds the role of test and reserve driver while Markelov joined Renault as a development driver.
Both have sampled the R.S.18 this year, with Markelov making his FP1 debut in Russia, though neither have driven at Japanese Grand Prix venue Suzuka.
Following an initial period to obtain the optimum set-up the run plan is carried out by Pirelli, with neither team nor driver aware of the tyres they are using.
All data gathered is shared between all teams in order to ensure no-one gains an unfair advantage.
