Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix will be the 30th to take place at the fabled Suzuka Circuit, and to mark the occasion the venue has hosted a legends parade of classic cars throughout the weekend.
Double World Champion Mika Hakkinen got back behind the wheel of his 1998 title-winning McLaren MP4-13, 20 years on from his Suzuka triumph, while Felipe Massa donned the overalls once more to pilot his 2006 Ferrari 248, with which he claimed pole position at the track.
Takuma Sato drove the 1991 McLaren MP4-6, Satoru Nakajima hopped into the 1988 Lotus T100 as Aguri Suzuki wrestled the 1989 Benetton B189 around the track.
Elsewhere Jean Alesi turned laps in the 1987 Ferrari F187, while a handful of other old-spec machinery was also on display.
