Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel led the way during the final practice session for Formula 1’s Singapore Grand Prix.
Vettel remained atop the timesheets for the bulk of the 60-minute session in the wake of an early push lap on Hypersofts, and made a substantial improvement later on.
Vettel clocked a time of 1:38.054 that proved to be 0.362s faster than the best achieved by Ferrari team-mate Kimi Raikkonen.
Mercedes emerged as Ferrari’s nearest rival with Lewis Hamilton in front of Valtteri Bottas, albeit both half a second adrift of pacesetter Vettel.
Red Bull took a low-key fifth and sixth, a second off the pace, Daniel Ricciardo ahead of Max Verstappen, who repeatedly complained about his engine.
“A little bit of feedback is that the product in the back of this car is not working the way I want it to,” he told Red Bull when asked for feedback.
Haas’ Romain Grosjean comfortably led his midfield rivals, three-tenths clear of Force India’s Esteban Ocon and Sergio Perez, while Fernando Alonso capped the top 10.
Renault regressed compared to Friday as Nico Hulkenberg and Carlos Sainz Jr. took 11th and 13th respectively, split by Haas’ Kevin Magnussen.
The most recent three GP2/F2 champions were next up, with Pierre Gasly (Toro Rosso) leading Stoffel Vandoorne (McLaren) and Charles Leclerc (Sauber).
Brendon Hartley and Williams duo Sergey Sirotkin and Lance Stroll, who sandwiched Marcus Ericsson, finished as the tail-enders, some way behind the midfield group.
Qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix will begin at 21:00 local time
