Lewis Hamilton claimed a record-matching fifth Italian Grand Prix victory to extend his championship lead over nearest rival Sebastian Vettel.
Monza produced a thrilling race full of action from start to finish which was eventually won by Hamilton in the closing laps as tyre wear played a starring role in the outcome.
Polesitter Kimi Raikkonen maintained the lead at the start ahead of team-mate Sebastian Vettel but as the trio approached the Della Roggia chicane on the opening lap, Hamilton dived down the outside of Vettel and poked the nose of his W09 ahead before the pair clashed.

Vettel span as a result of the contact and dropped to the back of the field, whilst Hamilton was able to continue and slotted into second behind Raikkonen as the Safety Car was called out for an earlier incident.
Brendon Hartley immediately retired from the race as he, Stoffel Vandoorne and Charles Leclerc made contact on the start line, damaging the Toro Rosso's suspension.
The Safety Car remained in the lead until Lap 4. At the restart Hamilton slipstreamed Raikkonen and took the lead at Turn 1, only to lose it again as Raikkonen hit back at the second chicane.
Raikkonen maintained the lead until his first stop as Hamilton stayed out for several laps in the hope of undercutting the Finn, but when the Briton eventually pitted, he came out behind Raikkonen who himself was caught up behind Valtteri Bottas who had yet to stop.
Bottas was told to hold Raikkonen up, a job he did tremendously as Hamilton closed in to within a second. Bottas eventually stopped for fresh tyres, releasing the leading duo as Hamilton bided his time to pounce.
Raikkonen was unable to keep up the pace as his tyres faded and Hamilton pounced with seven laps to go, taking the lead before romping off into the distance, Raikkonen forced to settle for second.
Max Verstappen crossed the line third but was demoted to fifth thanks to a five-second time penalty. That promoted Bottas to the podium and Vettel, who fought back throughout the race, to finish fourth.
Verstappen was penalised for contact with Bottas at Turn 1 as he forced the Mercedes wide.
Romain Grosjean had a quiet race to finish a distant sixth, just a tenth ahead of Force India's Esteban Ocon and Sergio Perez, claiming another double points finish.
Carlos Sainz and Lance Stroll completed the top ten.
The race saw three retirements in Hartley, Fernando Alonso and Daniel Ricciardo. The latter two both experiencing engine-related issues.
