Formula 1 has confirmed the draft version of next year’s calendar, which will consist of a record-equalling 21 events, including the German Grand Prix.
The season will again open in Australia in March and conclude in Abu Dhabi, with the final round at the Yas Marina Circuit shifted into December.
It will be the first Grand Prix to be held in the final month of the year since 1963.
The future of the German Grand Prix had appeared uncertain amid the end of its long-term deal this year, though Hockenheim officials remained optimistic about its continuation.
Hockenheim has now been confirmed on the released 2019 roster, with Mercedes-Benz acting as the title sponsor, ensuring that 21 events will again be held, matching the record from 2016 and 2018.
The order of the 21 Grands Prix has remained largely unchanged, with only the USA and Mexico swapping positions on the calendar.
Formula 1 has avoided a repeat of the triple header that the sport encountered this year, with the British Grand Prix pushed a week later, consequently pushing Germany/Hungary, and the summer break, back a week.
Australia remains a standalone at the start of the year, while Singapore and Russia have now been paired as back-to-back events, with Japan a standalone event.
The Chinese Grand Prix, the third round of the season, will be the 1000th World Championship Grand Prix.
Formula 1 initially had plans to add a Grand Prix in Miami for 2019 but those proposals were recently put on hold until 2020.
The calendar requires ratification by the FIA's World Motor Sport Council in October.
