Valtteri Bottas has been hit with a 10-second time penalty for his collision with Daniel Ricciardo during the closing laps of the Hungarian Grand Prix.
The Mercedes driver first collided with Sebastian Vettel, which damaged his front-wing – the stewards chose not to take action in that instance – but then later collided with Ricciardo at Turn 1.
The penalty doesn not impact the Finnish driver's result as he had a 23-second buffer to Toro Rosso's Pierre Gasly in sixth.

He was also handed two penalty points, his first this year.
"Bottas had a damaged front-wing from an earlier incident," explained a statement issued by stewards.
"As the two cars approached Turn 1, Ricciardo was on the outside of the the turn and gave plenty of room. With the compromised line and less downforce from the front-wing Bottas locked up, and collided with Riciardo forcing Ricciardo off the track and causing damage. Both cars continued.
"The stewards ordered a 10-second penalty, which will be applied to the final result, along with two penalty points."
Bottas keeps his fifth-place finish in a race he described as "messy".
