Renault have confirmed their post-Hungary Grand Prix test line-up, with Formula 2 driver Artem Markelov set to receive his first taste of current-spec Formula 1 machinery on the second day of the two-day test.
The Russian Time driver, who has previously only driven Renault's 2016 car, will get behind the wheel of the R.S.18 on Wednesday, with Nico Hulkenberg driving on the opening day of the Hungaroring test, which takes place after this weekend's race.
Teams are mandated to run a young driver across at least two of the four in-season test days. At the opening in-season test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Renault ran Carlos Sainz and youngster Jack Aitken.
Markelov currently sits fourth in the Formula 2 standings with one victory so far – Monaco – 60 points off championship leader, Mercedes-backed George Russell.
