Dorian Boccolacci has been stripped of GP3 victory at Paul Ricard after stewards were unable to extract the required fuel sample from his MP Motorsport-run car.
Boccolacci controlled proceedings from pole position to take victory on home soil, but MP Motorsport “failed to ensure that the mandatory 1 litre fuel sample could be taken from both cars in accordance with the Technical Regulations.”
As a result Boccolacci was excluded from the results, while a similar fate also befell team-mate Niko Kari, who also classified in the points.
Boccolacci’s compatriot Anthoine Hubert thus inherits the win, his first in the series, with ART team-mate Nikita Mazepin second and Giuliano Alesi third.
