Kimi Raikkonen topped final practice ahead of qualifying for the Bahrain Grand Prix for Ferrari.
Raikkonen set the pace with a 1:29.868, leading Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen by 0.525 seconds, with the Dutchman being his nearest challenger.
Daniel Ricciardo completed a Red Bull 2-3 in third fastest, 0.584 seconds adrift of Raikkonen and trailing his team-mate by 0.059 seconds.
Lewis Hamilton, who faces a five-place grid penalty this weekend courtesy of an unscheduled gearbox change, was fourth fastest for Mercedes and was 0.023 seconds ahead of Sebastian Vettel who ended the session fifth, despite having limited running after a bargeboard failure in the early part of the session followed by an apparent engine issue in the closing stages. This meant that the four-time champion was unable to perform a qualifying run.
Valtteri Bottas was sixth fastest in the second Mercedes, almost one second adrift of Raikkonen while Nico Hulkenberg fronted the midfield in seventh, ahead of Carlos Sainz Jr who was eighth in the second Renault.
Pierre Gasly was ninth fastest for Toro Rosso, 1.570 seconds off the pace while Fernando Alonso completed the top ten for McLaren, trailing Gasly by a mere gap of 0.007 seconds.
Outside of the top ten, Brendon Hartley finished the session in 11th, unable to match the pace of Gasly in the second Toro Rosso while Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen occupied 12th and 15th for Haas.
Esteban Ocon had the edge over Sergio Perez at Force India, with the pair finishing in the session down in 13th and 14th.
Sauber ended the session in 16th and 18th, with Marcus Ericsson and Charles Leclerc being separated by Stoffel Vandoorne who was 17th for McLaren.
Williams completed the bottom of the timing screens, with Sergey Sirotkin 0.419 seconds adrift of Leclerc's Sauber in 19th while Lance Stroll finished as the slowest driver of the session in 20th, almost three seconds off the pace.
