Charles Leclerc brought Pirelli’s two-day tyre test to a close at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez on Wednesday as he added racked up more Formula 1 experience.
Leclerc, the Ferrari-backed Formula 2 champion, carried out proceedings on Tuesday at the Mexican Grand Prix venue, alongside Force India tester Alfonso Celis Jr., but was the sole participant on Wednesday.
Leclerc ran both Intermediate and Slick prototypes, following overnight rain, and ultimately amassed 104 laps in the Sauber C36-Ferrari.
As per usual, Pirelli ran the programme – with neither Leclerc nor Sauber aware of the prototypes being used – and all data gathered will be shared between all Formula 1 teams.
Pirelli’s next tyre test will take place at Interlagos, after the Mexican Grand Prix, with McLaren in attendance.
