Force India driver Sergio Perez has donated three million Mexican pesos to an earthquake fund for his home country of Mexico, which has been devastated by two massive quakes this month.
An 8.1 magnitude earthquake struck the south of the country earlier this month, killing more than 90 people, whilst just this week a 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck the country, resulting in more than 200 people losing their lives, the majority in the capital, Mexico City.
Perez's own charity has joined forces with the Carlos Slim Foundation to raise funds for the country, with the latter donating $5 for every $1 donated, with Perez making an initial £125,000 ($168,000) donation himself.
"I'm deeply concerned for what my country is living," Perez posted on social media.
"It's time to be united. I've made an alliance with @fund_carlosslim and for each $1 that @fundacionchecoperez receives, they will donate $5.
"I'd like to kick off this initiative by donating 3 million pesos."
