Qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix has been delayed due to heavy rain, with 13 minutes of Q1 still on the clock after the session was red flagged when Romain Grosjean crashed out.
The session began on time despite a very wet circuit, but it quickly became obvious that conditions were far from ideal as drivers complained about spray and aquaplaning.
Grosjean was one of the more vocal drivers, telling his team: "I can't see where I'm going. It's too dangerous. I need to stop the car."
Just moments later, the Haas driver span on the start/finish straight and made contact with the barriers, bringing out the red flags. He was unhurt.
At the time of writing, the session had been delayed for more than 90 minutes with no signs of the conditions improving despite a short break in the weather.
If the conditions don't improve within the next hour or two, it's likely qualifying will be postponed to Sunday morning.
Currently Lewis Hamilton is quickest with a lap of 1:40.128, 2.266 seconds ahead of Sebastian Vettel in second, although only nine cars have set a timed lap.
