Formula 1 drivers have loaded up on Supersoft tyres for next weekend’s Italian Grand Prix at Monza.
Sole supplier Pirelli has designated the Supersoft, Soft and Medium tyres in order to cope with the demands of the historic high-speed venue.
Out of the 13 sets of tyres available, all drivers will have either nine or 10 batches of the red-banded compound, and either two or three sets of the yellow-ringed Soft tyres.
The Medium tyre has been all but abandoned, with each driver having just one set of the white-banded tyre available.
One set of the Supersoft tyres must be set aside for use only in Q3 while one set of either Softs or Mediums must be used during the course of the race.
