Pramac Racing has confirmed that Jack Miller will compete for the team in MotoGP next year, after the Australian rider secured a direct contract with Ducati.
Miller, 22, graduated to MotoGP with Marc VDS in 2015 after finishing as runner-up in the Moto3 category, and claimed a handful of points finishes.
Miller caused an upset when he captured his maiden victory in a wet Dutch TT last season, and this year has taken regular points finishes to hold 12th position in the standings.
During the build-up to the Austrian Grand Prix, Pramac confirmed that it will field Miller alongside incumbent Danilo Petrucci, though has not specified which bike either rider will utilise.
Petrucci currently races a 2017-specification Ducati, with outgoing team-mate Scott Redding on the Italian marque’s 2016 model.
Redding has been linked with a move to Aprilia, heightened after current racer Sam Lowes took to Twitter, commenting “you can never keep a good man down! Thanks for the support! Just another chapter.”
Miller's current team, Marc VDS, has already confirmed that Moto2 points leader Franco Morbidelli will step up to the premier class with the squad in 2018, though the identity of his team-mate remains uncertain.
