Kimi Räikkönen rued some bad luck during the British Grand Prix as a late puncture cost him second place, though the Finn still finished third after his team-mate Sebastian Vettel also suffered the same fate.
With Räikkönen stopping on lap 49 of 51, he dropped from second to fourth behind Valtteri Bottas and Vettel, but the German then suffered a puncture on the penultimate lap, handing the third back to Räikkönen.
He was left disappointed to lose second place, but believes he got the most out of his car.
"I think we got more or less the most out of the car in the race, they [Mercedes] were just a bit faster today," explained Räikkönen.
"I was struggling in some points a little bit too go faster.
"Then unfortunately these unlucky situations keep following us and for whatever reason the front left, not really exploded, but the canvas came off the tyre," he added. "Luckily I could get back in one piece.
"Unfortunately Seb had, a lap later, the same thing so not happy but better than nothing."
