Force India's Sergio Perez has slammed his team-mate Esteban Ocon after the pair clashed during a restart and cost the team a potential double podium finish.
Perez had been third behind Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel with Ocon a further place back. However during the restart the pair clashed at Turn 2, with both cars suffering punctures as a result.
The pair could have been on the podium or even won the race as both Hamilton and Vettel dropped down the order later in the race when the former had to make an unscheduled stop and the latter a 10-second penalty.
Perez was therefore furious with Ocon and described his driving as "unacceptable".
"Between us, we ruined a great opportunity for the team," Perez said. “Actually I feel that I couldn’t have done anything to avoid the accident. I was next to the wall, and there was no room for me to go.
“It’s a big shame, the way everything turned out, it was just over-aggressive. In all my career I’ve had team-mates who have been hard but given enough room. What happened today is totally unacceptable for the team.
"I think the way he raced today wasn't right. I think he did didn't have any logic."
