The FIA has amended Baku's Turn 8 after a request from several drivers, including Force India's Sergio Perez, following his heavy crash during first practice on Friday.
The corner has been 'widened' through a reduction in the kerb on the inside of the corner, reducing the angle of attack.
Speaking after crashing on Friday, Perez said he had asked the FIA's Charlie Whiting to take a look at the kerb.
“The kerb is quite difficult, and it’s not so easy to ride that for us," said Perez. "It’s quite narrow and we asked Charlie to try to have a look to see if we can change it because we all feel that it’s quite narrow and very easy to make a mistake.
"I think he’ll have a look and will try to improve it for us for tomorrow."
The image below shows the new smaller kerb, which only runs on one side, whereas prior to the change it used to run on both sides, extending to the yellow line, with that area now painted over with grip paint.
