Codemasters has announced the next classic car to feature in its up-coming F1 2017 game, set for release in August.
The game developers have revealed the Red Bull RB6, which won the 2010 world championship, will feature as part of the new classic content.
Last month, the first details of F1 2017 were confirmed, including a release date for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC – August 25.
The biggest detail from the reveal was the return of classic content for the first time since 2013, with 12 cars featuring and a variety of different modes to race them in.
F1 2017 will come with the 1992 Williams FW14B, 2002 Ferrari F2002 and the McLaren MP4/4, the latter being a bonus for pre-orders or ‘Day One’ purchases. It will be available to buy later on.
The latest car to be added to that list is the Red Bull RB6 from the 2010 season, driven by Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber.
In a hotly contested championship battle, Vettel emerged ahead at the final round to claim the first of his four titles.
“We are delighted the RB6 is included in the new F1 game as a classic car, it’s certainly a classic to us and I’m sure gamers will love driving it and trying to recreate those golden moments on track,” said Red Bull boss Christian Horner.
The RB6 scored nine wins, 15 pole positions and six fastest laps during the 2010 season, Vettel winning the title and Webber finishing third.
