Ex-F1 driver Roberto Merhi will make his debut in the FIA Formula 2 Championship in Spain this weekend with Campos.
Merhi conducted pre-season running with the team at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, but was replaced by Raoul Hyman for the second test, while Stefano Coletti raced the car in Bahrain.
Coletti was poised to continue with Campos this weekend but a family matter has meant he will not race, with Merhi taking his place.
Merhi competed in 13 Grands Prix with Manor Marussia in Formula 1 in 2015, but was unable to retain his seat for the following season.
Merhi, 26, has not previously competed in GP2/F2.
