Mercedes has released images of its tweaked livery ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix, following a request from the FIA for easier driver identification marks.
During last month's F1 Strategy Group meeting, the governing body confirmed it would begin to strictly enforce regulations on driver numbers and names being displayed on the front and side of each car from this weekend.
Mercedes is the first team to unveil what this will look like, with images posted on social media showing Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas' three-letter abbreviation on the shark fin, as well as their driver number and flag.
The nose now features their driver number – which must meet a minimum font height and width – in a clearly visible colour. Mercedes have chosen blue for Bottas' 77 and a continuation of the red for Hamilton's 44.
All teams are expected to do something similar as failing to do so could result in a fine from the FIA.
