Lewis Hamilton has once again been crowned the United Kingdom's wealthiest sportsman, beating newcomer Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who moved to Manchester United this season.
Hamilton has topped the list for the past two years, with his wealth accelerating to top £131 million ($170m) in 2017, up £25m ($32.5m) from last year thanks to his Mercedes deal as well as personal sponsorship from Monster Energy drinks and L'Oréal, among others.
He is one of two Formula 1 drivers on the list, the other being the recently semi-retired Jenson Button. The McLaren driver, who retired at the end of the last season before announcing a one-race deal to replace Fernando Alonso at Monaco this year, sits in fourth place.
Button has amassed a personal fortune of £86m ($111m), an increase of £9m on 2016.
Other sportsmen in the list include Ibrahimovic in second with £110m ($143m), Wayne Rooney in third with £93m ($121m) and golf's Rory Mcllroy in fifth, £4m below Button, despite a massive £26m ($34m) rise in his wealth this year.
